I had the recent good fortune to visit the studio of Winston Smith, which resides in the heart of the historical North Beach district of San Francisco. I’ve been familiar with Winston's work since my teen years, a result of his now iconic artwork on many favorite early punk rock albums. Winston greeted me with open arms and we conversed for hours, most importantly, on the subjects of flying cars and San Francisco history.  Winston will be showing new work alongside Tokyo artist Kosuke Kawamura on February 18th at FivePoints Arthouse.
