Fine and tattoo artist, Scott Campbell, opens a new solo exhibition today, January 13, at Gallery Reis in Singapore titled Paved With Good Intentions. As the gallery notes, "Campbell expands his use of cut currency, sourcing uncut sheets of US dollars directly from the United States Mint, to create large, intricate work with a sunken relief effect." The currency is effected with snarky and humorous icons, such as skulls, teddy bears and just a simple statement such as "sucker." The show marks the NYC-based artists debut in Singapore.
