Ernest Zacharevic recently travelled to Lisbon, Portugal to document’s preparations for his solo exhibition The Floor is Lava, which is currently on view at Underdogs Gallery. Here are some behind the scenes documentation from his temporary studio in Lisbon, where he’s been creating all the new works for the current show and a print studio, where he’s been making a new etching for Underdogs Gallery.

Philladelphia-born, Denver-based photographer Matt Albert will be exhibiting his The LIFERS Project "Seasons Collection" this evening at NWBLK Gallery in San Fracisco. For this particular series Albert partnered with Cadillac and hit the road in two Escalades with his Airstream and mobile darkroom in tow to shoot portraits of Danny Way, Ray Barbee, Steve Berra, Lance Mountain and more.

“The Camera is God” by Trent Parke

Australian photographer, Trent Parke photographed the series “The Camera is God” on an Adelaide street corner last year. “The Camera is God” depicts various strangers passing by with a dark and ambiguous aesthetic. The grainy, high contrast images are taken at a speed that captures the movements of the anonymous subjects in a fleeting ephemeral motion. 

Bodies and Nature by Chong Chen

Nudes in nature is a theme we see a lot of on the web, but this series by Chong Chen has a little more conceptual weight to it. The simple act of shooting a nude body contoured to represent a place or thing in nature makes this both an intimate and full of humour.
