Couldn't Find that but we did find this related to 'hallucinations':
Happily Until Their Deaths: Ryan Travis Christian, David Jien, Adrienne Kammerer, Toshio Saeki @ Narwhal Projects, Toronto
We are really excited about this one: Ryan Travis Christian, David Jien, Toshio Saeki, and Adrienne Kammerer are all in a fantastic looking show, "Happily Until Their Deaths," opening at Narwhal Projects in Toronto on October 20. The show is based around what curator Kristin Weckworth notes as “Happily Until Their Deaths” being once a popular concluding pronouncement to fairy tales in the 1600s. This eventually softened into the more familiar “happily ever after”.October 22, 2015
Mona Kuhn: Acido Dorado
We are huge fans of Mona Kuhn here at Juxtapoz, and even though this body of work was shown at Edwynn Houk Gallery in late 2014, we love her latest series "Acido Dorado." As the press release stated, "Kuhn’s newest body of work is Acido Dorado, set inside architect Robert Stone’s secluded golden palace in Joshua Tree National Park, California. In this series, Kuhn explores her close friend and collaborator Jacintha, interacting with the American desert. Shallow pools, mirrored ceilings and glass walls frame sandy colored hallucinations filled with dreamy light leaks and seductive reflections."May 04, 2015
Eric Beltz "DREVERIEM" @ Koplin del Rio, Culver City
Koplin Del Rio is pleased to announce its second solo exhibition of drawings by Santa Barbara-based artist Eric Beltz (who had a lovely feature in the print edition of Juxtapoz in November, 2013). The exhibition, entitled DREVERIEM, opens April 11 in Los Angeles and runs through May 23, 2015.April 01, 2015
Exclusive Screening: Mike Aho's "The Lonely Life"
Control is lost and time becomes an abstraction when Mike Aho draws us into the short film The Lonely Life, which he wrote, directed and scored. He can be credited with almost every aspect of the film. (That, on top of being the new creative director at Volcom, and leading the band ((sounder)).) It stars musician and actor Will Oldham, whose character had been cryogenically frozen and is searching to understand his former life. Dazed in the intense haze of medication, lies and hallucinations, the film follows this search for truth amidst a cloak of certain evil.March 13, 2015
Synchrodogs "Reverie sleep"
Synchrodogs (Roman Noven and Tania Shcheglova) latest series, the Reverie sleep project, is based on Synchrodogs’ dreams, those they have seen in drowsiness. Charting that subtle space between wake and sleep - familiar yet remote, the artistic duo have been recording their supernatural visions and then recreating them via photography.October 02, 2014
The work of Melanie Willhide
Photographer Melanie Willhide’s series Henbane for Honey Bun is a both a dazzling homage to beauty and a commentary on it’s fleeting truths. Layered images reference various eras of memorable, youthful women in contrast to the unchanging artificial flowers that surround them.September 04, 2014
CB1 Gallery presents Phantom Color, which brings together three artists, Eric Beltz, Brian Scott Campbell and Nathan Hayden, whose work indulges in a black and white palette and whose themes run from playful to macabre. Through various techniques, individual inventiveness, and a thorough commitment to grayscale....June 11, 2014
Geoff McFetridge "MEDITALLUCINATION" @ V1 Gallery, Copenhagen
Geoff McFetridge does a lot of things very well. He does visuals for the film "HER," collaborations with Jack Spade/Heath Ceramics/NIke/Spike Jonze, and makes beautiful minimalist paintings. He was also the cover of the September 2013 Juxtapoz print edition, and he painted a surfboard for our special benefit auction for Waves for Water that starts today. And, this Friday, March 21, he opens a brand new set of exhibition of 13 paintings, Meditallucination, at V1 Gallery in Copenhagen.March 18, 2014
Happy 2014! Lets get weirder...
By the end of last night, everything appeared sort of like how this Laguna mural looks. There were distorted depth perceptions, visual hallucinations and overall confusion. Hope you’re feeling better than us on this first day of 2014. Happy New Years!January 01, 2014
