The Corey Helford Gallery, located in the heart of the Culver City arts district, has two new shows opening Saturday, September 14th. Nataly (Kukula) Abramovitch and Amy Sol will have shows up until October 19, 2013.

We stopped by Corey Helford Gallery for their latest exhibition “Crucifixion,” a group exhibition inspired by the images and symbolic influence of the crucifixion. The exhibition features new works from Glenn Barr, Ray Caesar, Victor Castillo, Ron English, Natalia Fabia, Korin Faught, Sarah Folkman, Nancy Fouts, Eric Joyner, Benjamin Bryce Kelley, Maria Kreyn, Marco Mazzoni, Buff Monster, Annie Owens, Michael Page, Chris Pugliese, Candice Tripp, Mark Dean Veca, Nicola Verlato, Tom Neely, Lola, Tom Bagshaw, and Amy Sol.

Of course you know by now, but Art Basel Miami kicks off this week, and many of us/you will checking many of the fairs, SCOPE included. Thinkspace Gallery will be at SCOPE Miami, where they will be exhibiting new works from Brian M. Viveros and Amy Sol. Today, we have a preview of Sol's works, Someday Garden.

This past weekend we stopped by the 6th annual Sea No Evil benefit art exhibition. The Sea No Evil art benefit show at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium featuring artwork donated by over 100 artists from around the world including Gary Baseman, Tara McPherson, Tim Biskup, Shepard Fairey, Lola, Travis Louie, Hydro74, Amy Sol and many, many more. Amy Sol, a former Juxtapoz featured artist, is set to open a new body of work, Numina, at Corey Helford Gallery tonight, March 10, 2012. From the looks of the preview we have seen, the 10 new acrylic-on-wood panel paintings will some of Sol's best paintings to date. The layered washes and color details look to place Sol's characters in an even more dreamlike existence.

Tonight, October 8, at Thinkspace Gallery, Audrey Kawasaki, Amy Sol, Stella Im Hultberg, and Mari Inukai will be showcasing new paintings, drawings, and prints in the exhibition, In the Wake of Dreams. Amy Sol is a self-taught Las Vegas-based illustrator who spent her childhood years in Korea. She has been greatly influenced by a combination of manga, folk-art, vintage illustration, and modern design. Her work is peaceful and refined, depicting reflective young women in whimsical landscapes populated by exotic plants and animals.
