"Style is the answer to everything. A fresh way to approach a dull or dangerous thing. To do a dull thing with style is preferable to doing a dangerous thing without it. To do a dangerous thing with style is what I call art" Charles Bukowski

Maximum Fou embraces Bukowski's sentiment in every product they produce. Focusing its efforts solely on scarves, Maximum Fou takes an antiquated fashion accessory and re-energizes it with designs by renowned contemporary street artists such as Herakut and Waone, among others.

Maximum Fou comes from a simple idea; street culture and haute couture can be merged in a way that doesn't suck. "Foulard" is French for scarf, and native speakers will know that "fou" translates to crazy. It also sounds like "fu" as in Kung 'Fu', which means master. When you put all this together, Maximum Fu represents the idea of "going overboard and pushing things to the limit, being dominant with a healthy dose of madness."

This simple yet elegant accessory can provide a sense of style that conveys a flirtatious and daring attitude, putting the wearer in the spotlight in any room they walk into. Realizing that silk scarves are only as interesting as what is printed on them, Maximum Fou made it their mission to find the artists who could transform a simple scarf into something that would start a conversation. Their collection contains 16 designs by eight contemporary artists, which include Askew One, Waone, Sliks, Herakut, Pure Evil, Brothers of LightRodrigo Branco and Rustam Qbic.
