La Playgirl is a short documentary film that explores the work and process of Los Angeles based painter, Jacqueline Valenzuela. Valenzuela depicts women lowriders on top of surreal illustrations of urban landscapes, murals, and street art seen in East LA. While her focus is to draw attention to these women and their contribution to the subculture, she also works to highlight her community and bring their stories to fine art space.
