On the newest episode of the Radio Juxtapoz Podcast, we caught up with one of our great friends and favorite conceptual street artists, Addam Yekutieli (aka Know Hope). The California-born, Tel Aviv, Israel-raised artist has found a unique voice in the street art world, creating a poetic and politically strong oeuvre that balances everything from text-based work to street characters to muralism. By focusing on the conflicts of his homeland not just literally, but by delving into more complex themes, he gives voice to marginalized and overlooked moments in history. Work that may have spoken only to Israel, also speaks to a wider world.

We talked to Addam as he was wrapping us his month-long stay at the Bed-Stuy Art Residency in Brooklyn, where he will be hosting an open studio to show his new works on Monday, July 29. Addam reflects about this particular time in NYC, his ongoing projects that span the globe and an upcoming venture in Jerusalem that has him really excited.
